When I first moved to the United States, one of my first impressions was how polite, respectful, and friendly the people were. I had never before had a total stranger say good morning to me, hold a door open for me, or apologise for even the smallest of my mistakes.
To my surprise, people were slamming on their brakes while trying to cross the street. Pedestrian safety is a rare occurrence in India. Really Americans are very friendly in natue.
Due to the fact that English is my second language, I had to learn to speak more slowly, but they always waited for me to finish. The people around me are very understanding if I pronounce a word differently than they do or if I make a grammatical mistake.
In comparison to the American system, which emphasises the practical application of concepts, my country’s education system is highly theoretical. This distinction caused me considerable difficulty during my first few semesters of college. The professors, however, were all very accommodating, and they provided me with a wealth of useful resources. To help me clarify some concepts, they even let me sit in on some of their undergraduate classes for free.
To my knowledge, I am immune to racism. In fact, despite the fact that I was a foreigner, everyone was very helpful whenever I needed it.
I was floored to hear that anti-immigrant sentiment was the decisive factor in the American public’s choice for Mr. Trump. because I’ve never once felt unwelcome or hated simply because of my nationality. I also found that the American people were friendly, open, tolerant, and willing to help.
